HUQT
Harvard Undergraduate Trading Competition
Hosted by Harvard Undergraduate Quantitative Traders, Harvard's premier quantitative finance group, the 2nd annual Harvard Undergraduate Trading Competition will bring together top students from diverse majors and universities across the country to Harvard to collaborate and compete in various games testing real-world market concepts.
Our 2024-2025 competition will be held on April 4-5, 2025 on campus at Harvard. Students from any university are invited to apply individually, and accepted students will compete in randomly formed teams in various trading-related games during the competition. Over $15,000 in prizes are available!
All accepted competitors will be provided food along with subsidized transportation and housing for the competition. There will be opportunities to network with top quantitative trading firms that are HUQT's sponsors through exclusive events and a recruiting fair.

Applications for our 2024-2025 competition are due on January 25, 2025, 11:59 EST. We encourage early applications!
What makes the Harvard Undergraduate Trading Competition unique?
Trading games
This is the first competition to focus mainly on interactive games about market making, betting, data analysis, and making decisions under uncertainty, as opposed to case-based competitions.
No experience required!
We particularly encourage underclassmen (freshmen and sophomores) without any trading experience to apply, as the competition will be a good first exposure to quantitative trading!
Diversity and Inclusion
We particularly encourage students from underrepresented backgrounds and any university to apply and be introduced to quantitative trading!
